Heating Instructions

For the soft, warm Injera you’d get straight from the mitad (griddle), try one of the methods below. Always thaw first for best results.

Thawing

  • Refrigerator (preferred): Overnight.
  • Same-day: Room temp 1–2 hours.
  • Quick thaw: Microwave 10–15 sec just until pliable.

Reheating Options

  • Skillet/Griddle: Medium-low, 15–30 sec per side.
  • Microwave: Wrap in a damp towel, 10–20 sec.
  • Steamer: 1–2 minutes.
  • Oven: Wrapped in foil at 300°F for 6–8 minutes.

Store frozen until use. Refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days or re-freeze with parchment between pieces.
